Maison Soleil

The apartment is just inside the pedestrian area, a short walk from the Arch of Augustus, where there are plenty of parking spaces. Everything was well organized from the time we booked. We received self check-in instructions on WhatsApp before arriving. The apartment has clearly been renovated recently. Our room was spacious and bright, with all the comforts and essentials, plus coffee pods for us to use. The bathroom was very large. We faced the main street, but even with the windows open in summer, we didn't hear any noise. Everything was thoughtfully arranged and really comfortable.

Maison Soleil has a lovely view from the windows, over the Collegiate Church of Sant'Orso and its two Romanesque bell towers, with the Alps beyond. Recently renovated and very clean, the apartment feels modern and welcoming. Big windows let in plenty of daylight. It's in the heart of Aosta's historic center, close to the Arch of Augustus and Porta Pretoria, while still feeling peaceful.

Waking up to the view over the city and mountains is beautiful. It's worth it.

We picked the attic because the photos showed how carefully it was looked after, and the apartment lived up to that. It was so welcoming and comfortable that it felt like home. Having worked as a hotel cleaner, I noticed the cleanliness right away: lovely smelling towels, spotless windows, and not a speck of dust under the bed. The owners were kind and helpful, and self check-in was easy. The location is perfect, the price is good, and the view is breathtaking. Staying here at Christmas made Aosta feel even more magical. We loved it enough to make this a reason to come back, and I think it was the best stay I've ever had. Highly recommended. The attic is on the fifth floor, reached by a spiral staircase, so you do need to be comfortable climbing it. There is paid parking near the Arch that is free from evening until morning, and we also found free parking at Piazza Mazzini. Downstairs, the shared area has a washing machine and iron. The attic has a crib in the bedroom, which is handy for families with small children. The place has a well-planned layout and simple furnishings that feel warm and relaxing. It came with a microwave, coffee maker, toaster, WiFi, dishwasher, hairdryer, drying rack, refrigerator, condiments, and cleaning supplies. There were also four or five rolls of toilet paper, which was more than we usually find. The only small thing I'd add is some napkins or paper towels, in case other guests forget theirs like we did.
