Val Del Lago

The large kitchen and roomy dining area that can seat everyone are definite advantages, and there's a washing machine. The bathrooms are generally usable, though two are very cramped. The furnishings are dated, the beds small and not very comfortable, the lighting is dim, and many rooms have no mosquito nets. Getting there is difficult. The holiday home is very remote and reached by a rough dirt track where cars easily scrape their undersides. The grounds slope and are uneven, so they're not suitable for elderly people or wheelchair users. The lawn and hedges looked neglected too. We couldn't use the pool: the paint was peeling, the water was cloudy, and it seemed unsafe to us. Cleaning didn't help. After we complained, Novasol gave us a refund, but the landlord was uncooperative. The negatives outweighed the positives for us: poor access, an unusable pool, old furnishings, and unkempt grounds. It isn't good value, and we wouldn't holiday here again.

A rustic place with an Italian feel, though the pool wasn't very nice.

It's only a short walk, and well worth making.
