Getting there was a little tricky at first, but the stay made up for it. The rooms were clean and quiet, the mini bar well equipped, and the garden was a lovely place for morning coffee. The lady running the hotel even adapted the breakfast choices to suit our tastes, and her homemade marmalades were delicious. Don’t worry about being away from Bolzano, the nearby villages have everything you need. Messner mountain museum Firmian is only a 2 minute drive away.

Mrs. Oberhofer was very friendly, and the bed was comfortable, though short. The single room is only about 6 sq m, so anyone over 185 cm tall probably shouldn’t stay in one. Breakfast was okay. The room also cost considerably more than advertised on Booking.com.

The place is beautiful and quaint, and the owner is very kind. She prepares breakfast to suit guests’ tastes, and everything is well maintained. One thing to keep in mind: if you’re taller than 1.80 meters, the single bed may feel too short.
