During the heatwave, the swimming pool was absolutely fantastic. The Giuliani fam were very, very friendly and looked after their guests so well. At breakfast, for instance, the patron kept an eye on things and replenished the food when needed. Many more expensive hotels could take a lesson from that. We stayed for 2 night while visiting a few wineries in Sud Tirol, and it turned out to be an excellent choice. The price/quality is amazing: for a very friendly price, we got a clean, spacious room, decent breakfast, covered parking, and a pool. About a kilometer away is the center of Eppan, where we were surprised to find some high-class restaurants. Highly recommended!

We found this small pension in a quiet neighborhood. The host was friendly, breakfast was great, and there was parking available. Our room was large and clean. The only flaw was that there were no towel hooks in the bathroom. You’ll need a GPS to find the place.

A refrigerator was brought to our room when we asked, which was fantastic. The rooms are large and very clean, and the bathroom and shower were excellent. We spent a long weekend at Pension Steingarten, a lovely family-run guesthouse. The owner was friendly and accommodating, and the bar has a good selection of wines. There’s a pool, a free bus pass, and a shuttle to the beer garden in Kaltern, where you can eat very well. St. Michael is a 20-minute walk away, with restaurants, cafes, pizzerias, and ice cream parlors. There’s an event with music almost every weekend, so ask at reception for details. In the evening, a glass of wine by the pool was just right. The room was absolutely fine, and this is a nice, lovely guesthouse in Eppan. Bolzano or Alassio are quick to reach.
