Il Gigante

The cheeses are homemade, and each one has its own distinct flavor. If you're Sicilian, some may remind you of flavors from home. We ate really well, and everything was delicious. Lovely people and a wonderful place, definitely worthy of a super star.

Even with no booking for Sunday lunch, they found an outdoor table for my friend, their dogs, and me. The dining room was reserved for a ceremony, but the hosts were incredibly welcoming. We had traditional lamb dishes, including an appetizer and tagliatelle, followed by fried fish as the main course. Everything tasted great and came out remarkably fast. It's a beautiful farmhouse with sweeping views. Many thanks to the hosts.

The cheeses, ricotta, and lamb are the highlights here, and the desserts were good too. Dinner with friends on the Friday menu started with a delicious appetizer, then a mediocre mezze maniche Amatriciana that we could have skipped. The grilled lamb was well cooked, though portions were on the small side. There weren't enough arrosticini for each diner, and ordering more than two pieces of lamb per person would have left someone without any. The friendly, quick wait staff brought us one more small tray when we asked. At €28, the price felt fair. I'd recommend the restaurant, though a little more food on the plates would be welcome.

The owner and the whole staff were fantastic. I really appreciate how considerate and efficient everyone was. Thanks for everything, I hope to be back very soon.
