A small, old-fashioned, quaint hotel, about a five-minute walk from the Palabione Bubble in Aprica. The rooms were fine, the staff excellent, and breakfast was continental.

I picked Hotel Cioccarelli for its price, location, and simple style, and had a pleasant stay. The rooms are basic but practical, and the vintage look gives the place a welcoming, quaint feel. You're just steps from the Palabione ski lifts and close to the slopes. Breakfast is classic, with freshly made scrambled eggs, hot drinks, fresh cake, fruit, jams, individual toasts, and milk with cereal. There's ski storage and a common room with a bar open until 7:00 PM. At check-in, they offered deals at local restaurants and shops, and the staff were friendly. A good option for a weekend in the snow if you don't expect luxury.

You can leave the car behind here. The location works well for the ski slopes, hiking, and exploring town, and the rooms are clean. The bathroom is a little small, but it does the job. It's a simple hotel and I didn't need anything more. The food is good and made with care, including by the owner Alessandro, who's very kind, makes everything available, and does his best to meet your needs for a comfortable stay.

The location is excellent, right in the town center and close to the slopes, but the rooms aren't soundproofed and the bathrooms are incredibly small. The sink is outside the bathroom, so you can hear guests in neighboring rooms even when they're talking quietly. Service was more or less adequate. Breakfast is mostly sweet, with only salami and cooked ham as savory options. Even a bottle of water to keep in your room costs extra.
