Hotel Corsaro Nero

We only came for dinner and didn’t stay at the hotel. There’s a reasonable variety on the menu. Some main courses are sold by weight, so expect large portions and a fairly high bill. The starters were creative and tasty, while the mains were a little less impressive. Still, we had a good experience.

The view from the terrace is amazing, especially at sunset over the sea, and the restaurant is in a great spot. They have an impressive range of fresh fish and meat, but the food was just so-so and didn’t feel worth the price. A nice place to stop for a drink at sundown.

We had the fish pasta, which was nice, and the house red and white wines were good. The meat platter was okay but nothing special. The food overall was good, just not spectacular. They brought baked bread rather than Sardinen bread. The service was friendly, though the staff didn’t speak much English. The setting is okay, not especially distinctive, so I’d go while it’s still light or around sunset. Prices were 13-16€ for pasta, about 7€ for vegetable sides, and 30€ for the meat plate for two, with no sides included.

The setting is beautiful, but the restaurant felt like a rip-off. For example, there were only 3 pieces of meat in 8 lobster shells, and the food didn’t meet the usual Italian quality standard. Better to bring your own food and eat on the beach.
