B&B Da Natalina

The rooms and meals were so special, it’s hard to put them into words. Emanuele and Anna welcomed us like we were beloved family. What wonderful people. I can’t wait to come back.

Da Natalina is a real pearl, with a gorgeous mountain view, a great balcony, and loads of space to relax after travelling. I even had a bath. My only suggestion is to cut back on the large amount of free food on the table, since much of it wasn’t nutritious. A little more sustainability would make it paradise. The night before, I’d parked by the chiesa of old Arce and was confused by my navigation, so two elderly guys brought me to the Cafe across the street and bought me a beer. I wasn’t quite sure what to make of it 😅 One of them turned out to be the kindest, most welcoming host I’ve ever had. The next morning Emmanuele drove me back to my car and showed me around the church. It’s his village, so I suppose hospitality calls for it, and I think he just likes being kind.

The apartment has everything, and that million dollar view is amazing. The host was so kind, attentive, and helpful. I’d go back in a heartbeat.

One thing to keep in mind is the location: the B&B sits on a very steep road, and you need steady footing to get there. A larger car won’t work on the narrow streets, though a smaller Fiat is fine if you’re used to driving one. Even so, we’ve never come across a more hospitable B&B. The hosts helped with everything, from carrying our luggage to finding lovely places to visit. They took us to the train station and picked us up for our trip to Rome. Breakfast was ready at 8:30 am each morning, with plenty of bread, pastries, and desserts. We ate at their cantina three evenings and didn’t pay a single euro, including for the wine and digestif. Alba & Emanuel have become real friends. Thanks to them.
