A great base for getting around LaSpecia. The coast is 15 minutes away, and there's a great local pizzeria nearby.

The owner welcomed us and took care of what we needed. Our room felt spacious thanks to a kitchenette, though we couldn't use it for cooking, only for making coffee or herbal tea. The bed and cleanliness were good. Thick walls kept the room cooler, but I'd still add air conditioning. The garden outside was lovely, and I could park my motorcycle there.

We had quite a few complaints for the owner, and the stay wasn't positive. The room was freezing when we arrived, 14 degrees Celsius, and the thermostat was off. We turned it on so it could reach at least 18-19 degrees Celsius by evening. After we went out for an hour, we came back to find the thermostat off again and the room at 15 degrees Celsius. The owner had entered while we were away and switched it off. I don't think anyone should do that once the room keys have been handed over. Even if it had been to change the linens, which wasn't a service they provided, turning off the heat would still be out of line. We understand the situation is difficult for everyone, but we don't think switching off the thermostat is an effective way to save money. The owner apologized when we complained, and we hope it doesn't happen again. The B&B is in central Arcola, just steps from the tiny train station. It's a charming place with two rooms: a larger ground-floor one with parking on site, and a smaller one upstairs. There's a coffee machine with a few pods and biscuits, plus a sofa, TV, and bathroom. The water pressure is very low.

The location is a good base for exploring the villages and the Cinque Terre. Mrs. Tamara was attentive and helpful with whatever her guests needed. Service was excellent, everything was clean, and both the rooms and bathrooms were very large.

B&B Borgo degli Angeli Arcola sits in a convenient spot at the foot of Arcola's beautiful old village, making it easy to get to many interesting places. I was pleasantly surprised by how kind and welcoming the hostess was, and by the attention to detail and cleanliness in the rooms. Thanks, and see you soon.
