Hotel La Pineta dei Liberti

The location near the beach was nice, but the music on the property was so noisy that I couldn't sleep. The bed was hard, the shower tiny, and breakfast was sad. I had to climb two stairways to reach my room, even though staff use an elevator.

The grounds are gorgeous, and waking up to the birds singing was lovely. The beach is a few minutes' walk away, and Rome is about a 30-45 minute drive. The breakfast and restaurant were delicious. One of the nicest hotels I've stayed at in Italy, with staff who felt genuinely friendly, not just polite for customer service.

The surroundings and historic foundations make the place beautiful and romantic, and as a sports club there's fun to be had. We enjoyed the walk to the beach after dinner, about 7/10 minutes from the hotel. Still, I'm disappointed with the rest. The bathroom wasn't very clean, and there was dust in the room. The table and chairs outside were covered in dirt too. Breakfast was sad, and they refused to cook us eggs from the chicken. Other pet friendly hotels have offered at least a bowl for the dog, but here they didn't. I know I may be asking too much, but since I paid extra for my dog, having a bowl in the room would've been nice and appreciated. Two stars for the location and gym.

The rooms were nice and spacious, and the staff were all lovely and very helpful, even though it was clear most of them had only just started working there. The sporting club can get busy, with lots of children playing different sports. The bathroom could've been maintained better, but we had a positive experience overall.
