It was comfortable, clean, and quiet, and we had a really good stay. The people managing the place clearly put care into it and keep it clean. I definitely recommend it.

The beds were comfortable, the rooms nearly spotless, and the new air conditioning worked well through the night. The residence felt welcoming when we arrived around midnight after a long trip, and the staff seemed courteous. Still, there were some real letdowns, especially around cleanliness and the information about the location. We booked Residence del Mare in Ardea as part of a weekend package with a visit to Zoomarine. Being told it was just 2 km from the park was the main reason we chose it, even though it cost about €15 more than other options around 10 km away. Anyone who knows the park will understand that distance matters, especially with the morning traffic. The day before leaving, I called to confirm and mentioned that it would take only 2 minutes to reach the residence from the park. I was told this was a transcription error, and that it was actually about 10 km away, though the drive would take under 10 minutes. I was surprised, but the receptionist apologized and tried to reassure me, describing the property as new, clean, and well kept. They also mentioned a nearby café for breakfast, which we'd have to pay for. In the morning, we went to the breakfast area and found all the cups stained with chocolate or some brown substance. It put us off eating there, and made us think the café suggestion had been deliberate. The shower and some sinks also weren't quite clean. Those details matter, particularly in a kitchen or breakfast space, where you'd expect good hygiene. The place has potential and a pleasant atmosphere, and the welcome was warm. But cleanliness in the shared areas and on basic items like cups and glasses needs attention. The actual distance from Zoomarine also needs to be explained clearly so guests aren't caught off guard. With improvements, Residence del Mare could be a good option for the area. As things stand, our stay mixed some good intentions with disappointment.

The place felt secure, with a coded gate keeping the car inside, and the staff were so friendly. The apartment was spotless and had everything we needed: a dishwasher, air conditioning in both the bedroom and kitchen, a clean bathroom with towels, toiletries and a hairdryer, plus comfy beds with fresh sheets. Wi-Fi was fast and the TV connected to the internet. I'll be back for sure.
