Hotel Eden

The owners were lovely to chat with, and even the reception dog, Napoleone, was a bonus. We felt welcome from the start, despite booking at very short notice. Our room was spacious and clean, breakfast had plenty to choose from and was really good, and we liked the atmosphere and location. We'd happily stay again. Cheers from Norway!

The people here were nice.

The rooms were tidy, but the shower sent water everywhere, the sink wasn't very clean, and there was no toilet paper. I came across the place on Google and booked after the photos caught my eye, but it didn't feel like anything special once we arrived. Some of the jokes and very direct remarks were out of place. One comment about someone being a scab stuck to... wasn't nice at all. You don't know who you're speaking to, but we chose to let it go out of respect. When we left, our likely oversight and what seemed to us like dishonesty meant the tourist tax cost much more than we expected. We only realized once we'd gone a long way. It wouldn't make us rich or poor, but the situation could have been handled differently. At first, we might have used the hotel as a base for other visits to the area. Now we'll make sure to stay away.

The place has a distinctive style, which made the stay a really pleasant experience. As soon as we arrived, the sociable and friendly owner welcomed us along with her sweet little cocker spaniel, napoleone.
