The area is handy for shopping and restaurants, and Kilometro Zero is one we’d recommend. It’s also a great base for trips around Tuscany. The stone ground-floor apartment has two gardens, one with a pool, and we found the setting peaceful and idyllic when we stayed as a couple last year. We liked it enough to want to return every year. This time, with the owners’ consent, we brought our new dog. We’d been assured the dog could be off leash in the garden by the pool, but after arriving we found that wasn’t possible. It was a small inconvenience that didn’t greatly affect the holiday, since we used the garden before going into the apartment. Still, because of the dog, we won’t be coming back. That’s a shame, as we recommend the place to others.
