Condominio I Gelsi

The rooms are comfortable and clean, with everything you need and then some. There’s also a good supermarket nearby. The place is convenient for the Centro Chirgico Toscano and for a walk or some time relaxing by a lake. Mrs. Paola’s warmth, hospitality, patience and helpful suggestions made a big difference. She’s tireless and always available, and her assistant is lovely, funny and so welcoming. We’ll be back as soon as we can, and recommend it to anyone visiting the Centro Chirgico Toscano or staying in medieval Arezzo.

I stayed at "I Gelsi" and felt very welcome. The woman who runs it, her son, and their charming Filipino assistant were all extremely kind and helpful. Everything was neat, well cared for and impeccably clean. The quiet neighborhood and easy parking nearby were a real plus, especially with the well-known surgical center close by. My room was comfortable, the heating worked perfectly, and the windows insulated so well that I had to open the bathroom window at night because it got too hot. There’s one downside: the restaurant downstairs isn’t owned by them, but late at night, often around 11 p.m. or even midnight, the waiters move tables and chairs noisily. That can be really annoying when you’re accompanying a patient and need to get to sleep early. Apart from the restaurant noise, "I Gelsi" is a very good option for clean, comfortable, well-managed accommodation. Without that evening noise, it would be perfect.

Paola goes out of her way to help people sort out the practical problems that come with staying near the Tuscan surgical center. They’re often there as relatives of patients, worried about the health of someone they love and unable to think about logistics. Her help means a lot. The rooms are beautiful, the beds comfortable, and the place spotless. I highly recommend it.

The staff are welcoming, and the rooms are spacious, bright and very clean.
