The owners really make you feel at home, and they're so attentive. Hotel Sabo is run by a welcoming family, which gives the whole experience a warm, inviting feel. I loved it there!!!

The room was clean and the bathroom was okay. Breakfast was mostly sweet things like cakes, brioches, and yogurt, with no fruit or savory options such as cheese, ham, or eggs. I also didn't like being greeted at reception by a big barking dog. The room walls are very thin too, you can clearly hear what's going on next door, so privacy isn't fully guaranteed.

For a cozy, quiet, clean, and affordable place just outside Bologna, I couldn't ask for more.

Booking.com confirmed my reservation for last night and said check-in ran from 13:00 to 00:00. I showed up at about 22:30, but the door was locked and the lights inside were off. I rang the bell over and over and called the hotel number for several minutes, with no answer. Being left with nowhere to stay at that hour was awful. Then they had the nerve to mark me as a no-show with Booking.com. Be careful!
