Il Castello

Breakfast was a real highlight, with sweet and savory choices for every taste, including local cured meats and cheeses, croissants, jams, Nutella, ring cakes, and tarts made by Mrs. Lina. Our spacious, clean rooms smelled lovely and had private bathrooms, heating, TV, good linens, and Wi-Fi. We were treated like dear relatives or old friends, and felt right at home during our few days up in the hills. There’s reserved private parking in front of the property, too. Many thanks to Mr. Angelo and his family for making our stay so welcoming. I think "Casa Vacanza Il Castello" is an excellent base for staying in the province of Avellino.

The owners were incredibly kind and helpful, and breakfast was delicious, with homemade ring cakes and tarts, croissants, jam, honey, and fresh cow’s milk. We stayed for a weekend and found the renovated house very welcoming and comfortable, with warmth from independent heating in each room. I’d definitely come back.

The plentiful breakfast and the clean room and kitchen make us want to come back for another weekend. We had a lovely time in this homely place, and the owners welcomed us so warmly and kindly.

The surrounding landscape is beautiful, and we’ll definitely return. The building is in the Orneta district, one of Ariano Irpino’s hamlets. It has six spacious, spotless rooms, three on each floor, plus a well-equipped kitchen on each floor. Breakfast was excellent, and we felt right at home.
