Armanac De Toubie

Breakfast was a highlight, especially with the room rate being so reasonable. The place makes a point of serving local specialties, and the cured venison is worth looking out for. This family-run pub and hotel in the pretty village of Arnad has kind staff and a downstairs pizzeria for dinner. Our room was nicely presented, with good WiFi and plenty of parking. There's a lift, and a disabled double room on the third floor. Great value.

We ate here twice on the drive home, and the pizza was great. On our first visit we asked the waitress what she recommended, and she suggested a local dish that was delicious: purple gnocchi with a blue cheese-like local cheese. It sounded unusual, but it worked. We had stayed in Verrès because we couldn't choose between skiing in Courmayeur and Breuil-Cervinia, and that location let us do both.

The staff were genuinely pleasant and kind throughout our four nights. Our triple room was cozy and clean, with enough space, and the bathroom was especially large, with a shower. They cleaned the room daily. The hotel sits on the valley's main road, no more than 15 minutes from the highway.

I was in the valley for work and stayed here. The food was amazing, the view was beautiful, and the staff were really nice and helpful. I'll come back sometime.
