Little Square

I never even went into the room. The owners were scary and rude, so we left first. After 14 hours of travel, the way they treated us was beyond frustrating. Every interaction was unfriendly and unprofessional. They didn't apologize, just made us feel like we were a nuisance. No empathy or hospitality, only negligence and disrespect. Avoid this place at all costs! We'd told them through Booking the day before that we'd arrive after 6 p.m., but they never replied. Our train was delayed on arrival day, and we kept calling the whole day. Around 8 p.m. they finally answered, very rudely and apparently unaware we'd booked a room. They gave us the key box code, but the box was empty. After more desperate calls, they said “the girl will come in 30 minutes.” They blamed a city protest for not managing the hotel or planning for guests. The girl turned up almost an hour later, just to clean a room that still hadn't been prepared at 8 p.m. They clearly didn't know we were coming.

The lake is a minute away on foot, and the old town is about five minutes away. The location is great, and the rooms are large, beautifully decorated, and have all the amenities you need, plus extra little details. Communication was excellent, and they quickly helped us with everything we needed. Breakfast seemed simple at first, but there were lots of options and it was delicious. Parking is paid street parking nearby. A charming place, highly recommended!

We really enjoyed our stay with these friendly hosts. The location is great, and the room is beautiful. The hosts are easy to contact and quick to help with whatever you need. We can definitely recommend Little Square Arona!

The place looks lovely, with a really nice common area, and the rooms are modern. But our room had no windows or ventilation, and the air conditioning didn't work, so it was stifling hot all night. After checkout, we followed the instructions for leaving the keys, yet several staff members called and messaged to ask where we'd put them. It wasn't a very good experience, and I wouldn't recommend it. My boyfriend and I stayed one night. When we followed the self-check-in directions and opened the key box, none of the keys worked on the outside door, so we were stuck outside. The number listed on Booking.com was inactive. We contacted the host through Booking chat, and the reply was passive-aggressive, as if we were too stupid to open the door. We asked him to call and help, but he only replied in chat. It turned out the front door key was missing from our set. Fortunately, the other rooms were free, so we were allowed to use the keys in another room's box.
