Green Park Hotel

The breakfast was awful, just a few cold cuts, bread, butter, and an omelet that tasted like hospital food. Cleanliness was poor too. We stayed five days and the sheets were changed only once, on day four, with dust and dirt around the room. Hard to see how this is called a four-star hotel. I’d chosen a triple room online after looking closely at the photos, but at check-in they gave me a totally different, much smaller room. It had no ceiling lights, just a tiny lamp on the nightstand. I also asked for an iron and spent three days chasing it. Each time they said it was in another room or they couldn’t find it. On the third day, reception told me it had been stolen. The night receptionist was the most unprofessional I’ve come across. He didn’t seem to know the hotel or have clear answers, and we had to use Google Translate to communicate. He spoke Italian only, with no basic English. The manager was no better when I spoke with her in person. She sat with her legs crossed, seemed indifferent, spoke rudely, and even raised her voice. There was no respect or professionalism. The management seems to show in the way the rest of the place is falling apart. This tourist trap could ruin your trip. I wouldn’t recommend it, and think it should be avoided.

We’d seen mixed reviews and weren’t sure about booking, but decided to give the hotel a try and were glad we did. The staff were really nice, our room was clean, and breakfast was good. Great value.

My reservation had been confirmed for months, then the hotel cancelled it just 10 hours before check-in. It completely wrecked my vacation.

Never again. There were 16 mosquitoes in my room, the AC barely worked, the floor was dirty, the bed was old, and the shower didn’t work properly either.
