Agriturismo La Focazza

We had such a lovely stay at La Focazza, my fiancé and I. It’s a place I’d happily recommend for a restful, genuine Cilento experience. Breakfast was generous, with fresh local products, often homemade, and when the kitchen is open the traditional food is full of love and good ingredients. The rooms were roomy, spotless, and simply but warmly furnished. The property is cared for, surrounded by greenery, and looks out across the countryside to the sea. Ascea Marina’s beautiful beaches are only minutes away, while the setting still feels peaceful and tucked away. Tonino welcomed us with real warmth and was attentive from the start. His knowledge and affection for the area, along with his generosity and constant smile, made us feel at home. La Focazza is more than a place to stay, it’s nature, good food, and people like Tonino who know how to make guests feel welcome.

The sunset over the sea was lovely, though the garden could use better care. I felt the price was too high for what was provided. Breakfast was limited and had no savory choices. There weren't any gluten-free options, despite the appreciated effort to prepare a dessert. The room wasn't clean enough, although they replaced a towel promptly when I asked. I think the customer service needs improvement.

The solarium is a cozy, relaxing spot, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The property is clean, family-friendly, green, and has a sea view. It takes about 10 minutes to drive to the beaches, which are easy to reach without traffic. Rooms have a mini fridge, hairdryer, TV, clothesline, and fresh linens each day. Bring your own toiletries, including a cap, shampoo, and shower gel. Breakfast is simple, mostly sweet and homemade. Lunch or dinner can be arranged there if requested. A nice fit for anyone wanting a break from city life, and suitable for children and pets.

We spent 9 nights here, with courteous, discreet staff who were ready to help with any request. Mr. Tonino is a considerate and polite host, clearly devoted to his homeland, and he has plenty of ideas for places to visit and discover nearby. The setting is lovely and panoramic, around ten minutes by car from the sea. It’s peaceful, with beautiful sunsets over the bay. Recommended for a quiet, different kind of vacation.
