Agriturismo La Coppa

We spent three weeks at La Coppa working remotely, and the internet was generally good enough, though it did drop out now and then. Our work spot came with incredible views. I’d happily recommend it for a workation. Angela is what made the stay feel so welcoming. Even with limited English, she looked after us in such a warm, natural way. Her cooking was better than any restaurant we tried, often with very local food and wine. Having dinner by the pool as the sun went down was special, and I’d say eating there at least once is part of experiencing La Coppa. The setting is peaceful, high on a hill with lovely views and sunsets most days, well away from the main road and any towns. Asciano is still close enough for a quick grocery run. There’s plenty to explore nearby, from the monastery and Crete Senesi to the surrounding villages, both busy and quieter ones. Our one real difficulty was charging our electric car. Its range was better than usual because of the warm weather, short trips, and low speeds, but there was nowhere to charge at the property. Nearby chargers were scarce, and several weren’t working, so we had to plan ahead and sometimes detour to a larger town.
