Tenuta la Campana

We had a lovely five-night honeymoon stay in September 2024. The property is beautiful and well looked after, and we loved watching the sunsets from our balcony. There are great hiking and cycling trails, and the pool has an unbelievable view. The restaurant was also a real highlight, with some of the best food we ate during our time in Italy, and it was great to have it right on site. The staff were so kind and gave us a complimentary bottle of champagne and wine for our honeymoon. There was a mix-up with the rooms, though, so we had to switch rooms for our last night, which was a little inconvenient. They gave us complimentary wine at dinner, which was lovely. I’d come back if we wanted to stay in the area.

The little osteria served excellent food and added to the lovely atmosphere. Families seemed very welcome: there were lots of children around, and ours could roam and play freely without us feeling they’d be seen as a nuisance. The compound is beautiful and well cared for, just as we’d imagined, in a world-renowned landscape. It made for an unforgettable vacation, and we’d love to return.

The landscape around the property is beautiful, and the service was very attentive. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it. The apartments are generally well equipped, though there were a couple of minor exceptions. We found the restaurant food okay to good, but nothing more, and the place felt a little uptight.

We had our own kitchen, plus the option of breakfast and supper at the restaurant. The facilities were great, with a pool, tennis and table tennis, and the staff were super. Tenuta La Campana was a lovely, friendly enclave and great value for money. We spent six wonderful nights here. The setting overlooking the Tuscan hills is stunning, with 360 degree views, and it’s well placed for enjoying the region’s delights. Thank you!
