Bed Breakfast River

After playing at a party in the nearby town, the eight of us slept in the room. The property was clean and welcoming, with an excellent location and parking. The owners were very kind. Thank you! The Folkantina

We stayed one night as a couple with two boys aged 16 and 17. There was one double bed and a double sofa bed. It’s an old apartment adapted into a B&B, but basic things were missing: no hairdryer, towel rack, robe hooks, hygiene kit, and so on. The place has a lot of potential, but needs a general renovation and a more thorough clean. The breakfast room was very basic, with bakery croissants and cappuccino made with low-quality long-life milk, plus poor-quality coffee pods. It wasn’t clean either: cups were dirty or stained with grounds from earlier coffee. There’s only one table, which guests have to share, so there isn’t enough space. Breakfast lacked even the basics you’d expect at a B&B, not even standard toast and jam. I’ve never seen that at similar places, where welcome and breakfast are the main things. They also preferred payment without a POS, saying it was to save on the tourist tax. A real disappointment, especially since the prices are no longer B&B prices, yet even the essential services are missing. I wouldn’t return even if it meant paying more. We’ve stayed at other B&Bs in Ascoli for the same price, with all the essentials. I don’t recommend it at all. I’m sorry, but that’s how it is. This isn’t only criticism, we hope it encourages the owner to act and turn the property into a B&B worthy of representing B&Bs. Otherwise, it’s an insult to other places working to develop the sector. All the best.

Stefano was incredibly kind when our car broke down and left us stranded in Ascoli Piceno. We called the first B&B we found on Google, and he came to collect us and found us a room. It’s just outside town in a quiet area, and the room was comfortable. Stefano is a really helpful, lovely person. I highly recommend staying here.

There’s a big green space that would be handy for kids or anyone travelling with a dog, and breakfast was decent. The rooms were good too, although the B&B isn’t clearly marked. It’s best to tell the owners when you expect to arrive so they can be there.
