Mimì e Cocò Bed & Breakfast

Anna and her family made us feel like royalty in their lovely home, with its peaceful, beautiful views. They even set up olive oil and wine tasting, came along with us, and helped explain how everything is made. We loved our time there and can't wait to return on our next visit. Thanks for a fantastic experience we'll remember for a lifetime!

Breakfast on the veranda came with a fantastic view and homemade ciambellone. The owner was very kind and happy to accommodate requests, and we had a wonderful stay. This little place is tucked into green mountains near Ascoli Piceno, so you'll need a car. It's wonderfully quiet, far from city noise, just right if that's what you're after. Great value for money, and we'd gladly come back.

The view is spectacular, and the apartment is beautiful. The room was clean and the mattress was excellent. We got a warm welcome and lots of information about Ascoli Piceno and the area. There isn't dinner service, and breakfast is basic, served only from 8:30 to 9:30. I would have liked a local pasta dish, cereal with yogurt, and maybe some fruit. The road up is short but winding. Still, I recommend it for the peace and the view.

The climb up to the agriturismo is really steep. If you have a methane-powered car with a small fuel reserve, it could be tricky. My Yaris 1300 had no trouble 😎. The place is Mimì e Cocò, a farmhouse a few kilometers from Ascoli Piceno, in a very quiet spot with a lovely city view. It's about a 10-minute drive to town, where I parked for free on Via Bengasi. I wouldn't walk it, since that would take at least 40 minutes. I slept really well: the beds are extremely comfortable, and it's so far from everything that it's absolutely quiet. Too bad there are no blinds, though a sleep mask helped. The bathroom is excellent, fully functional and practically brand new. The owner is a very frank lady who enjoys chatting and sharing stories about the city and what to see. Breakfast was homemade ciambellone, cappuccino, juice and some jams. On the evening I arrived, the lady kindly made me a hearty, traditional Ascoli Piceno style dinner even though I hadn't asked. It cost €25, but don't expect restaurant-quality food. The price might be slightly above average compared with the other hotels, B&Bs and agriturismos I stayed at on my trip, though nothing to worry about. A good place to sleep peacefully and visit Ascoli Piceno.
