B&B Asolo Casa Pagnano

Casa Pagnano has stayed with me as a remarkable, unforgettable place. Asolo itself is a precious gem, full of history, and I hope visitors will see it and carry it in their memories. The house brought to mind the splendid chalets of Sils im Engadin/Segl, as Nietzsche might have said. A painting in the room where I dreamed offered this advice: “This is still a wonderful world. Be careful. Do everything you can to be happy.” Mrs. Patrizia and Mr. Ernesto, who care for the place, are kind, generous, courteous, affable, cordial, forgiving, and simply lovable. Hospitality is sacred to them, and I wish it were that way for everyone. They and their kind, friendly friends made themselves completely available to me. I was treated with the care and consideration you’d give a close relative, as well as a traveler chasing his shadow, a foreign wandering pilgrim, a rare vagabond just passing through. In a time full of falsehood, it’s hard to meet empathetic people who can quickly understand the person in front of them. Mrs. Patrizia and Mr. Ernesto are all of this. I hope you enjoy a stay at Casa Pagnano.

Breakfast was simple but so delicious we ate our fill: fruit salad, lovely cheese, yogurt, assorted bread rolls, butter, marmalade, coffee, milk, and croissants that melted in your mouth. The house has a leafy garden, a gazebo to sit in, and parking. We also appreciated the air conditioning, which is rare in private mini-hotels. The apartments and rooms have antique furnishings and decor, genuinely old rather than just styled to look “antique.” We brought two dogs and had no problems at all, with no extra charge. The shower had no pressure in the morning, though it was fine the night before. The hostess speaks very little English. We’d definitely come back to this villa if we get the chance, and recommend it to others.

After two years, my husband and I came back to this delightful B&B and found the same courtesy, helpfulness, and care in every detail. The apartments are clean, tidy, and very well kept, and you feel at home as soon as you walk in. The hostess is a delight, a real hostess. All this comes at a very reasonable price. I highly recommend it for a quiet holiday away from the city bustle.

We’ve travelled a lot, but rarely found somewhere this beautiful and stylish. The owner seemed to anticipate everything we needed. Casa Pagnano B&B is a lovely renovated country house that’s very well run, with tasteful furnishings, a great location, comfortable beds, a fantastic breakfast, and incredibly friendly owners. It was our first stay, and we’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend this house!
