Bed and Breakfast Sognando Te

We booked this place after reading other reviews, and even the first email made us feel we were dealing with kind, attentive people. They were just as welcoming in person. The B&B sits in Assisi's historic center, and the rooms are charmingly furnished to suit the old complex. Our bedroom and bathroom were spacious and had all the comforts we needed. Breakfast is set up in a small separate room a few meters across the street. The owners prepare it early, with tasty pastries, fruit salad, and more. The value was excellent, and private parking is available for a small fee about a 15-minute walk away. Highly recommend.

We were really disappointed with our stay at this B&B in Assisi. The room was barely warm when we arrived, and by the next morning the radiators were off completely, except for the bathroom. With temperatures around 10°C during the day and 6°C at night, it was uncomfortable and felt like too little care had been given to guest comfort. The parking arrangement was also a problem. We were sent to a paid lot costing €10, said to be about 700 meters away, but only found out on arrival that the actual distance was longer. The walk with luggage was awkward, and the road was poorly lit with no sidewalk, which felt unsafe, especially after dark. This should have been explained clearly in advance. We felt the management fell short in several ways. Looking after guests ought to be a priority, and we wouldn't recommend this experience.

It’s right in central Assisi, with a lovely, cozy breakfast room, plus a large welcoming bedroom and a spacious bathroom that made us feel at home straight away. Francesco and Lorena were helpful and welcoming even before we got there, sharing everything we needed for a few relaxing days, from free parking to food suggestions and nearby excursions. The breakfast was plentiful, varied, and authentic, served in a charming little restaurant, and made the holiday even more enjoyable. We found this romantic, practical place through a Smartbox, and it looked just like the pictures. Its position is ideal, 50 meters from Assisi's main square one way and the Basilica of St. Francis the other, so we could enjoy the historic center and get around easily. A wonderful stay.
