Domus Pacis Assisi

What I liked most was how peaceful it was. The room was thoughtfully designed, with a high ceiling, modern furniture, a comfortable bed that wasn’t too soft, and it was sparkling clean. The shower had hot water. It’s near the train station, with a marketplace behind, next to an amazing church, and handy for catching the bus to the Basilica. For solo travelers, the Italian style and affordable price make this one of the best places I’ve stayed in Italy.

There’s a lovely view of Assisi village and Santa Maria cathedral from the room, and a large park area around the hotel for walks. A large supermarket and small local shops are nearby. It’s next to Santa Maria degli Angeli cathedral, about 10-15 minutes from the train station, and public buses reach Assisi in a 15 minute trip. The hotel is great value for money. Rooms are comfortable, with high ceilings and good temperature control, and relatively clean in most areas, though some parts or furniture could use minor renovation. There’s an unattended luggage storage room, plus a coffee and souvenir shop at the main entrance. Breakfast is basic, with cold cuts, white bread or rusks, yogurt, and few or no vegan options.

The rooms are basic, but they were just right for what we wanted, and everything was spotless. The staff were efficient and nice. It’s ideally located beside the Basilica and the St Francis walk. A lovely place.

Easy to find, with plenty of parking, and close to Assisi. The hotel has beautiful grounds and comfortable rooms. It’s right next to the Cathedral of Saint Mary of the Angels. Breakfast was very good, and there’s a nice restaurant for other meals, plus a snack bar with expresso, sandwiches and drinks.
