Giotto Luxury Country House

The view across to Assisi is gorgeous, and Angela was so attentive whenever we needed anything. We came to Umbria hoping for two relaxing days, with a pool and a beautiful view, and it turned out even better than we expected. A fantastic break. I hope we can come back next year.

Breakfast was generous, well stocked, and served nicely. There’s also a soccer and tennis field. This quiet, unassuming place near Assisi is a lovely spot to relax. The rooms are spacious, and the bed was the best we had during our trip in Italy. For €35 per person, you get two hours in the sauna, steam bath, and hot tub, with first-class equipment. A five-star experience.

Angela was so kind when our plans fell apart. We were driving near Ravenna on the evening of our booking and got caught in thick fog, so reaching Assisi as planned became difficult. At the last minute, we had to move our stay to the next day, and she changed the booking without any trouble. Thank you, we’d love to come back. This country house was the best place we stayed during our 12-day trip around Italy. The room looked just like the pictures and was comfortable and tastefully decorated. We slept really well and woke to a rosy dawn, with Assisi in the background. Breakfast was delicious too, with food quality among the best we had in hotels.

We loved our days here and would definitely come back if we can. The cottages aren’t a typical old Tuscan farm, and they’re neither luxury nor basic. They’re a modern group of cottages at the right price, making a great base for Assisi while still offering a very peaceful place to rest by the lovely pool. The grounds are quite large, and there’s a football field where kids can play different games in the evening. Everything was peaceful and good for us, though there are barking dogs if that bothers you. And a special hello to Martina! She was accommodating, easygoing, patient, and calm.
