The breakfast was a real highlight, with lots of choices and delicious homemade pastries. The hotel is fairly small and about a 20 minute walk from the train station, but it’s quite new and conveniently close to the bus station. The owner was very kind and helpful, and shared lots of useful information for my first visit to Assisi.

The buffet breakfast had delicious food and fantastic coffee, and the location made it easy to walk to Basilica di Santa Maria degli Angeli. There was food nearby, and a cheap bus to Assisi for visiting many other beautiful Basilica’s. As a young solo traveller who doesn’t speak Italian, I felt safe and relaxed at Hotel Cladan. The staff welcomed me warmly and made me feel like part of the family. They were kind and went above and beyond to make sure I enjoyed my stay. My room had the space, cleanliness and amenities I needed. I highly recommended choosing this hotel for your next stay!

The family run hotel was very clean, and I loved its simple feel. We stayed four nights for an event and had a wonderful, memorable time. The family were hospitable and breakfast was very nice. The Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi is 5km away, easily reached by bus from the stop beside Basilica Santa Maria d'Angeli, which is within walking distance of the Hitel. Tickets are much cheaper if bought at a nearby establishment. I enjoyed the distance myself because I love running. It’s short for me despite the uphill stretch, and the run has wonderful views from afar, with many beautiful churches in one area. We had a blast. Thank you Hotel Cladan & Family.

Luca and his mom were welcoming and had nice suggestions for things to see around the area. It’s a family run business, with clean rooms and a decent breakfast. Definitely worth it.

A modest sized hotel that’s managed well. Breakfast was generous, and the rooms were neat and clean.
