Hotel Lieto Soggiorno

A lovely hotel run by an even lovelier couple, Mr Dino and Ms Grazia. They go out of their way to make guests feel comfortable. The rooms are big, nicely decorated, and cleaned daily. Breakfast is simple and delicious, and don’t miss the fresh cakes made in-house.

A cosy little hotel right in the heart of Assisi. Our room was adorable and very clean, and the hosts were so kind and helpful. The breakfast pastries were delicious. I’d strongly recommend it for a couple of nights in Assisi.

The host helped us get a taxi to the train station and showed us where to find the city’s places of interest, even though we couldn’t communicate easily because our Italian wasn’t very good. She was incredibly kind and friendly. My partner and I stayed one night, and this was the most charming place of our time in Italy. The hotel is in a prime spot for seeing all of Assisi, with a lovely café across the road. Our room was spacious, cute, and clean, and the bathroom had enough space for two people. It was a little cold at night, but there were plenty of blankets to keep us warm.

The owner is so friendly and helpful, and bakes the most delicious breakfast sweets. The place is cosy and comfortable, and it’s very close to Piazza del Commune, with shops, restaurants, and coffee shops just a few metres away. Highly recommended, and definitely my favourite.
