The gardens are lovely, with little tucked-away places to sit and relax. The hotel has two main buildings and two suites. Ours was spacious, private, clean, and nicely decorated, though the toilet seat was broken and there was a broken shelf in the bathroom. A mirror upstairs and some drawers for clothes would have helped. The pool was a good size, very clean, and had plenty of loungers and seating. Breakfast offered a good range of pastries, fruit, yoghurt, bread, and filled rolls. If you were by the pool after breakfast or later in the afternoon, the owner would bring out drinks or snacks, a nice touch. There's a small cafe opposite for ice cream, pastries, and drinks, plus a supermarket just a 3-minute walk away. It's a handy base for Umbria, with beautiful Assisi a 10-minute drive. The staff were friendly, but because this is a family-run place and we don't speak Italian, we felt a little left out and mostly left to ourselves. Even so, we'd recommend the hotel.

The garden and pool are beautifully maintained, and a lovely place to unwind. Our room was comfortable and had all the amenities we needed. The hosts were attentive and so welcoming that we felt at home. Breakfast had plenty of great choices, especially the croissants and cakes. We had a wonderful stay at Il Giardino degli Angeli in Rivotorto and would gladly return.

It's around a 5-10 minute drive from Assisi, or about an hour on foot along a picturesque country road. The garden is fantastic, with lots of lovely spots among the greenery for reading or relaxing. Our rooms were clean and spacious, and had everything we needed: an oven, microwave, fridge, dishes, and hairdryer. The staff were wonderful and happily added more savory breakfast options when we asked. The owners' daughter even baked fresh bread for our group.

We only stayed one night, which was the one downside, because the place felt like a resort. There was a gorgeous flower and exotic plant garden leading to a striking pool, plus a veranda for breakfast. Our room was roomy and modern, with thoughtful interior design and a nicely designed bathroom. The shower had ambient lighting for chromotherapy. Breakfast had lots of sweet and savory options, including juices, coffee, cappuccinos, cakes, and other treats. The staff were friendly, polite, and professional. We could also use the hot water jacuzzi at night, which was the finishing touch. The price was remarkably affordable for this level of service and accommodation. Highly recommended if you're driving and visiting the unique town of Assisi.

The B&B is ideally placed for exploring the heart of Umbria, and I hope to return one day. We had a fantastic stay at Il Giardino deli Angeli. Breakfast was magnificent, especially eaten outside in the garden beside the pool.
