Vista Assisi

A lovely B&B tucked into nature at the foot of Assisi. From the house you can see the basilica, and it’s perfectly placed for visiting Assisi and the nearby villages. Mr. Marco welcomed us warmly to his home among the olive trees and made everything we needed available. The room was spacious and very clean, full of morning sun, with a big-screen TV and a shower. We slept wonderfully. Breakfast is served in the main hall, with a professional Illy coffee machine. There’s also a fridge with water for guests. The wood stove is the heart of the room, and coming back in the evening to its cozy warmth and the scent of wood was such a treat. The house tells a story of family, hard work, and the rewards that came with it. Mr. Marco’s father was a carpenter who made much of the woodwork, including the big front door. The owner is handy too, and was working on a canopy while we were there. Outside, a few steps lead down to a spacious park with flower beds and blooms. Three cypress trees mark the corner by the house, and an olive-lined path leads to the gate.
