B&B La Villarella dei Tulipani

Rossella and her granddaughter made us feel very welcome, and breakfast was good. We had a wonderful stay in a clean, pleasant setting, with a pretty pool tucked into a lovely garden. It’s close to the highway exit, in the first hills south of the capital, and Asti’s center is only a few minutes away by car.

Rossella made me feel like part of the family. She’s the owner, very kind and helpful, and puts together a fabulous breakfast while making sure everyone has what they need. The B&B is charming and well kept. It’s in a quiet hillside area, yet close to the main road and just five minutes from Asti’s center. I was there on a business trip, but I’ll come back with my family.

I paid the standard €130 room rate, even though the amenities were below average. Breakfast was a good example: they served us cake from two days earlier and suggested dipping it in milk because it was hard. The woman wouldn’t make a fresh one, saying there were only three guests that day and she’d have to throw the rest away if she and her mother didn’t eat it. The shower was frustrating too, taking three minutes to get warm before switching off right afterward. The dining room was cold, so I had to wear a fur jacket at breakfast. Not professional, and poor value for money.

Rossella’s personal warmth made the stay feel like visiting family. The garden and pool are beautiful, and the setting feels straight out of a fairy tale.
