There’s a lovely green space outside, with a park where you can walk around or sit outdoors. The place is peaceful and quiet, and there’s parking too, so it felt like a good spot to unwind. I spent one night here just outside Asti. The house has a lot of charm, mixing its old historic feel with the modern touches from the renovation. The girls who greeted me were friendly and helpful. Everything was clean and well looked after, and the rooms had what I needed, including a TV and air conditioning.

I’d been needing a pause, and even though I stayed only one day, the stillness here really stayed with me. That big tree’s scent was around me from the minute I got out of the car, through my time in the room, right up to leaving. I hadn’t seen fireflies in ages. The room was spotless, and the welcome felt warm and calming. I have to come back for another dose of that peace.

We had a lovely time during the Palio. The house is a beautifully renovated former convent, about 6 km from Asti. The woman who welcomed us was helpful, telling us where to eat that evening and what was worth seeing.

Everything was cared for and in good shape, with that authentic Italian atmosphere. The house is beautiful, and there’s even an outdoor wood-fired oven. The pool is lovely too, with an infinity edge.

We had a delicious breakfast buffet and a really beautiful room. The staff were helpful, even though we arrived late. It’s a lovely property, formerly a friars’ residence, as its name suggests.
