Breakfast was simple, but there was plenty of it. Bread, cakes, fruit, and vegetables were replenished regularly, and the portions were generous. The lake views were great, parking was ample, and everything in the somewhat old hotel worked fine. The main drawback was its position on the road through town. We couldn’t leave even a small gap in the window at night because of traffic noise. With the windows fully closed, it wasn’t an issue.

It’s a good base for hikes, in a lovely town, and breakfast was good for the price. The rooms looked a bit worn but were tidy and cleaned daily. The only real inconvenience was the toilet, which flushed by itself about every five minutes, probably because of a shared sewer system. We had a good stay overall.

Sara at reception made the stay especially good. When I urgently needed a taxi, she went out of her way to arrange one, and was kind, attentive, and professional throughout. She’s a real asset to the team, and her service stood out. The facilities and the rest of the experience were very good too. Highly recommended.

The views were amazing, and the staff were accommodating and service minded. My only disappointment was the bathroom supplies: there was shampoo, but no conditioner or body lotion, which I would have expected at a four-star hotel. The rooms themselves were very simple, though super clean.

Great lake access and views, plus a big free parking lot. The hotel isn’t new, but it has character. It was very clean and breakfast was nice. Totally recommend.
