In winter, you can't drive right up to this cabin, but there's a pleasant 20-minute walk through the countryside to reach it. We and our children, aged six and four, really enjoyed the walk. The owners greeted us with lots of warmth and enthusiasm, carried our luggage to and from the cabin, and explained everything carefully. It's a beautiful hut on the edge of Merano2000 Mountain, where we spent six days skiing. I'd recommend it if you like quiet, nature, and hiking.

The hosts, Lisi and Andi, were incredibly friendly and helpful. The Karlshütte is tucked into a peaceful forest clearing in Falzeben, and comes with modern comforts for a relaxing nature break. Merano 2000's ski and hiking area is only a ten-minute walk away, so it's great for people who love the outdoors. You get real peace and quiet and time to yourself, while still being close to a first-class hiking area. I highly recommend it as a secluded getaway. An absolute insider tip!

We could start hikes right from the hut, and the bus stop for Merano and other places was only a few minutes away on foot. The bedroom's pinewood was a dream, and the hut had everything we needed. It's in a lovely, quiet, idyllic setting, too. Our hosts welcomed us warmly and were glad to help whenever we had questions. We left much too soon and would happily return. One thing to keep in mind: the steep stairs may not work well for small children or people with limited mobility.

Everything was super clean and well cared for, and the place had all the things we needed. The hosts were incredibly helpful and accommodating. Karlshütte is a unique, idyllic stay surrounded by meadows and woods. Highly recommend it!
