The accommodation was comfortable, and breakfast was good. The staff were really friendly.

A really good place.

The sunny terrace was the one good part of my one-night stay. It was handy for hanging laundry after a day of cycling. My room had two beds, basically just box springs and mattresses, plus a worn-out, broken wardrobe. There were plastic maps and a print of Paris on the walls. The building had been adapted to receive guests, but both reception and the general logistics felt unprofessional. I'm only speaking about the room I had.

We booked this as a stop on the way through, but getting there meant a long way off the highway on roads that were basically dirt tracks. We've stayed in plenty of places in Italy and know what conditions can be like, but this was the most basement-like accommodation we've ever come across. We can't understand the three-star rating. There was no reception, and the hotel was shut when we arrived around 5 in the afternoon. The glass was so dirty we couldn't see inside. After we rang, someone took quite a while to appear, briefly asked for our ID, handed over a room key, took the money, and then vanished. We didn't see them again. The room was creepy, and our 8-year-old wanted to sleep in the car instead of staying there. There's too much to list. We suspect the place will close after this summer.
