Appartamento Corrado

I had to cancel my stay at Appartamento Sebastiano on the day I was due to leave, unfortunately, for family reasons. I asked the property whether a partial refund might be possible outside Booking.com, without expecting much since it was high season and everything was covered. To my surprise, just 20 minutes after I explained the situation to the owner, I got an email confirming the cancellation and a full refund. The owner's kindness and honesty make me happy to return.

The house has two bedrooms, a living room, and one shower, and it's very close to the sea and a beautiful sandy beach. When you leave, the electricity shuts off apart from the refrigerator. It's a shame there's no promenade for an evening walk. Driving around Avola is complicated and feels dangerous, with lots of narrow streets where you don't get the right of way. Renting a car at the airport costs more than 100 euros/seat.

The rest was okay, and it's close to the beautiful sea, but the key setup is awkward. When you leave, you have to take the keys out of the ignition, which turns off the lights, and the air conditioning only works when you're home. You can't cool the water, and it gets really hot when it's 33🙈35g outside. There's just one toilet, which is awkward for two families when two would be ideal.

We stayed in the penthouse apartment, which was fantastic. Great kitchen, and the lovely terrace had sun loungers and sunshine all day.
