Avola has a peaceful feel and genuine Sicilian culture, and we liked being away from the bigger, more touristy cities. The beach is close, and every restaurant we tried nearby served very good food. Syracusa, Taormina, and Mt Etna are no more than an hour and a half away by car. Sicilian is quite different from Italian, so brush up on it or get a good translator app. My wife and I chose this B&B for our honeymoon. The rooms and price were good quality, and we enjoyed our stay. The owner was friendly and helped me with a few things. He doesn't live in the building, but his mother does, and she was great. We had forgotten our beach towels at home in the U.S., and she lent us some. I'm not completely sure who the older woman cooking breakfast each morning was, but the food was delicious. She made all sorts of things for guests, and the tables were arranged to coordinate with who was staying. My wife was a bit bothered that eating in the rooms wasn't allowed. We weren't sure if that's just a Sicilian B&B thing. Everyone running the place was kind and hospitable, and they're doing a great job making it pleasant to stay.

We had a spacious, clean room on the top floor, with all the basics. Breakfast was good, and parking on the street nearby was easy. We stayed two nights in March. It was good value and suited our needs, and we'd happily return.

We found it clean and spacious, and parking the car was convenient. It suited our stay perfectly. Breakfast felt like its own special treat. The lovely hostess served homemade food herself, with a smile and explanations. Be sure to try the homemade yogurt!

Getting into the room after 20:00 was easy, thanks to the owner's clear directions sent beforehand. Communication was really good. The room was spotless, with comfortable beds, a fridge, and a kettle. Avola's center is a two-minute walk away, with plenty of shops nearby and easy, free street parking. A great base for exploring southeastern Sicily. Noto is a 20-minute drive, with Modica and Scicli farther on. I'd come back :) Thank you!

Gabriele even gave us a magnet with his own photo at the end of our stay. He was also very helpful with choosing destinations and towns to visit, which made the trip more fulfilling. There's a large shop within walking distance, and the beaches are nearby. We spent our last two nights in Sicily with Gabriele at Hybla Major B&B. He was kind and cooperative from the start, without pressuring us about when we'd arrive. It was a calm, friendly place. Our room was large, spacious, bright, and extremely clean, with a bathroom where you could bathe without struggling 😂. Breakfast included homemade cakes and yogurt, just like we make it in Bulgaria. I recommend it wholeheartedly.
