We arrived in Avola again, this B&B would be our first choice. We only found it after losing our place to stay at around 10 PM, and had little hope of finding somewhere so late. The hosts replied straight away and welcomed us despite our being unexpected, and were incredibly helpful and kind. The room was spectacular, spotless, well furnished, and had every comfort. Their hospitality continued at checkout, when they let us stay past the scheduled time so we could get ready for the wedding we were attending.

The building has a lovely finished look. I especially liked the floors, staircase, and well-chosen furniture in the common area. Credit to the architect and owners for that. The owners were friendly and helpful, and gave us Avola almonds when we left. There were some problems with the stay, though. Our room was directly below the kitchen mezzanine, and without soundproofing in the ceiling we heard all the noise every morning from 7:00. We got a few small courtesy soaps on the first day, but none after that. The sheets were changed only once a week and the towels every three days. Regulations require them to be changed every two days, or daily in seaside resorts, where people shower at least twice a day. Also, the room wasn't made up at all on August 15th.

We felt right at home during our two days here in August. The whole house is decorated with care, and the room was very clean. At breakfast, they took our preferences into account and laid everything out nicely. The hostess was very friendly, and we always enjoyed chatting with her over breakfast. We’d love to come back. Street parking is just a few steps from the B&B, and I’d happily recommend it. We spent two nights there and had a wonderful time. The rooms were spacious, spotless, and in excellent condition. Breakfast was great too, with lots of sweet and savoury choices.
