Villa Gina

There were five of us, and I booked the ground-floor apartment for my friends and me. We especially liked how spacious and clean it was. The cleaning lady was there when we arrived, and the whole house smelled wonderfully fresh. The sea was just a few minutes’ walk away, so the location worked very well too. The owner was thoughtful and kind. He took care of mosquito control in the garden, kept the pool clean and tidy, and suggested some great places to eat. We could also leave our car in the courtyard, which meant we had a guaranteed parking spot. The property isn’t brand new, but that wasn’t a problem for our group. There’s air conditioning in the living room, though it struggles to cool the rooms farther away. Both bedrooms had fans, so we never got too hot. Highly recommended!

I can’t recommend this place. The house is in ruins, and the garden looks like a jungle. Each apartment has only one air conditioner, including a portable unit on a chair that leaks water, and you can’t even open the window. The beach you can actually access is 500 meters away, not 30 meters as the owner says. The spot 30 meters away is an inaccessible cliff. For what we paid, it wasn’t worth it at all. Everything felt neglected, the towels were very old, and the photos aren’t recent. What you find there is a completely different story.

The closest beach you can actually access is about 400 m away. The house was poorly maintained, the garden was dirty, and there was no upkeep. The light switch kept tripping, and the linens and towels were worn and very dated. For what we paid, the whole house should have been renovated. If you rent a place out and charge for it, you need to spend money on improvements. I wouldn’t recommend this “villa, if you can call it that” to anyone. It would be a waste of money, and I wouldn’t repeat this experience.
