** EDIT They actually got my negative review removed from BOOKINGDOT COM, even though it stated what happened. No wonder the reviews are all good if they report people who had a bad experience because they “did not stay in your hotel.” DO NOT TRUST THIS ACCOMODATION. WHAT A SCAM! ____ We were told about 48 hours before arrival that Bonne Nuit Guest House was overbooked, and were offered another place. We agreed ahead of time, but the replacement didn’t have the same standard or facilities as our original booking. Several advertised things were missing, including an electric kettle, and the AC didn’t work, leaving the room uncomfortably hot. We asked for a fan and were just told to “open a window.” There were no insect screens either, despite that being listed. Parking had first been confirmed, but was very limited, making it hard to plan. The receptionist was never available. On the second day, breakfast was just “toast,” with no cheese, milk, or coffee, and we were left alone. We raised our concerns with Booking.com during the stay but heard nothing from the property then. They only communicated after we’d checked out, which was frustrating. We were charged 10 euro tourist tax, not really 6euro as expected, and got no receipt. Even though this review concerns another location, the situation wasn’t handled to the level we expected, and it wasn’t the experience we’d booked.
