Badesi has the amenities you need for a holiday, but it isn’t a touristy seaside town with a promenade. If you want pretty streets to wander around, I wouldn’t recommend it; neighbouring Valledoria may suit you better. The apartments themselves are a yes from me. The garden complex feels almost romantic, and the pool area is clean and pleasant, with sun beds and a lifeguard during opening hours. The reception ladies were very pleasant and helpful. Rooms were clean, though a little dated. There’s a supermarket a 5-minute walk away, and the nearest beach is about 3km away. We were disappointed that the Badus café was closed from 1 September.

The price feels far too high for what you actually get, with almost no services included. We paid extra for a sea view, but trees blocked most of it and the sea was too far away. I also don't think I Giardini di Badus - Italian Hôtel is close to the quality of a Pierre & Vacances property. In the apartment, there wasn’t a proper bed for the children, just a sofa, and the main bed wasn’t very comfortable. There was no soap refill because it “is not included.” At reception, they told me to go buy some at the convenience store, so I had to shop before I could shower. We got just one towel per person for the whole stay, and towel changes cost extra.

You really need to rent a car in Badesi. Beaches, things to do, and nice towns to visit are all far from each other.

Apartment 68 had a beautiful sea view, and there was plenty of parking nearby. We had a spacious, clean two-room apartment on the second floor, though be ready for lots of stairs. The pools are in a separate area from the three accommodation buildings, so getting there takes a bit of a walk. The one-room apartments do have a swimming pool. There’s a cozy bar for tasty morning sandwiches and an evening drink. Badesi village is walkable along a sloping road, but there isn’t much to see and it only has a few restaurants. A large supermarket is a few hundred meters away. The beach is a few minutes by car, with paid parking everywhere at about €1 per hour.
