A young woman welcomed our last-minute group of 9 with such warmth. She was friendly and made us feel like our visit mattered. We had traditional Tuscan food, and the price was unbelievable: 9 mains, desserts, drinks, and coffees came to €85...

I went to your restaurant last August, hoping mainly to have mushrooms and summer black truffles. I’d tried them at Sottobosco, but sadly that place has closed. Someone suggested I try your restaurant, and it didn’t quite meet my expectations. I was a bit harsh in my previous review, though. From what I understand, you’re under new management, so there’s time to grow and improve. You can’t please or excite everyone every time, and some criticism is inevitable. I hope you’ll take it as motivation to get better. I’m sure I’ll be back in the area, and I’ll visit you again.

After lunch, the charming, welcoming village of Badia Tedalda is lovely for a stroll, with a beautiful view of the woods and mountains. The staff were extremely hospitable, and the dishes are made exclusively with local products, giving the food its authentic character.

The pizza was really good, and the prices were exceptional: two pizzas, a beer, and dessert for €25 total. Service felt a bit improvised.

It’s in a convenient spot right on the main road, and young people run the place. The food is good. Try the pizza, the tagliatelle with black truffle, and the Montalcino wine.
