Apartments Sotbosch

We booked a Res. Milandora Typ C apartment for seven people and stayed five days. The hosts responded quickly, and the apartment was spacious and very well equipped, but a few issues brought my rating down to two stars. The beds were the main problem. Our whole group agreed we’d never slept on beds this uncomfortable anywhere we’d stayed, and we travel a lot. There was an extra layer under the sheets, apparently to improve comfort, but the mattresses were uneven and worn out with age, some too soft and others too firm. The floor plan doesn’t show that one bedroom’s window faces a passage where the garbage bins are kept, rather than the house walls (see attached images). With the window open, people passing could see you in bed and it was noisy; with it shut, the room got hot and stinky, even though the heating was off. The last two rooms and their bathroom also seem to have been added later. Their walls are very thin, so you can hear sounds from those rooms and the bathroom. For the price, which wasn’t low, and with toilet paper as the only toiletry provided, not even soap, two stars feels right.
