The owner was incredibly kind and polite, and the rooms were clean. Prices are low, with every kind of service close by since it's right near the town hall. I couldn't find a single fault. This one's shorter than my usual reviews, but it's just perfect. Definitely recommend it.

After a month travelling around Europe, this was easily the best hotel we stayed in. The location is sublime, just metres from the beach and Main Street, and the rooms go completely dark when you close everything up, which made sleeping great. Staff were excellent, attentive, and quick to sort out problems. The night manager was a great guy, and we really appreciated his help. The A/C was brilliant, usually switched on for hot days and nights, and they would turn it on if you asked. Showers were always hot and worked every time. The hotel and town felt safe, and everything was great value. An amazing stay, a real hidden gem. We wished we'd stayed longer and would come back in a heartbeat. Couldn't fault anything.

We slept comfortably in the beds, and the rooms were clean. One of the two managers was very kind and helpful. The hotel's central location is convenient for both the town and the beach, but there are some real drawbacks. The building is dated, which on its own wouldn't bother me, but the rooms have no soundproofing. Noise and conversations from other rooms, the lift, and the stairs carry straight through, and the doors bang because they can't be closed quietly and have no felt pads. We stayed a week and were woken every morning from 6:00 AM. It was hard to rest in the afternoon too, with the noise going on constantly. The restaurant wasn't open, and there were no fridges in the rooms. Reception also switched off the room A/C several times a day, so we had to keep calling to get it turned back on. One day it took nearly an hour for anyone to answer, and then it was only left on for a maximum of two hours a day. The property has a lot of potential, but in its current state I wouldn't return.

Online I booked a spacious, airy classic triple room of 25 sq m with a double bed and a crib. For the same price, I was given a room less than half that size, with a 1960s look. The whole hotel needs renovation. There was a bunk bed: lying on the lower one meant the mattress was right in your face, while getting onto the top bunk meant climbing up. I asked for a ladder, but nothing was provided. There were no restraints, so I worried about falling and tossed and turned all night. The refrigerator was just a door with nothing behind it, and the A/C was extremely noisy. It switched off when we left the room and again on the morning we checked out. Mediocre. The sign says 3 stars, maybe from when the hotel first opened.
