We were told to pay in cash because there was no POS terminal, which is truly unacceptable for a hotel in 2023. The room we booked as a 45-square-meter "comfort" quadruple was actually no more than 20 square meters. The bathroom had no window or ventilation, and the shower was missing a door. The welcome was terrible, including a threat to throw us out onto the street simply because we pointed out the size difference. Over our four-night stay, the room was never cleaned. When we asked for fresh towels, they reluctantly gave us only a portion.

We spent four days at this Bagnara Calabra property, and the stay was a real disappointment. The service over those days was awful: the room was never cleaned, the bin overflowed, and there was no linen service. We had booked a quadruple room advertised as 45 square meters, but it measured no more than 20. The shower had no door, and the bathroom had no ventilation fan. The owners demanded immediate payment but wouldn't accept POS. When we calmly raised these legitimate problems, they became rude, arrogant, and angry, then said without discussing it that we could leave if we weren't happy. Their threatening attitude was intimidating. Another sister, who seemed embarrassed, stepped in and calmed the two relatives down. We paid what was due at her place. The whole stay was a string of problems we'd never experienced before. They should absolutely be avoided in future.

What was most humiliating was the rudeness, heavy-handed manner, and arrogance. Everything was handled so carelessly and shamefully. The room was advertised as 45 square meters but wasn't even 20, the shower panel was missing, and the bathroom had neither a window nor a fan. There was no POS, and this B&B was only a B, with no breakfast. When I pointed out the shower panel, the owner snapped, "If they fixed it for me, what can I do?" In four days the room was never cleaned, the bin was overflowing, and towels were replaced just once, after we specifically asked, and even then we got fewer than we needed. I've travelled a lot and never raised a problem at a hospitality place only to be threatened. The response was, "I'm going up to get the keys, go away." It was 6 PM on a hot August day, when everyone knows you can't find alternative accommodation anywhere. We seriously risked being left homeless. The stay was marked by rudeness and arrogance.

The owners were so kind, and the room and bathroom were spotless. The location is really convenient, right in the center and just a quick trip to the beach. We had the chance to stay at this B&B while we were in Bagnara Cavallo, and I recommend it for those reasons.
