The mountain road is narrow, but once you arrive, it’s a lovely, relaxing place. Bagni di Lucca has a few restaurants and grocery shops, and there’s a large supermarket about a 30-minute drive toward Lucca. It’s an authentic Tuscan house in a small mountain village, with a great pool area, a beautiful house and terraces, and excellent service from the owner.

Getting there and leaving were easy, though we had to park about 200 meters away because the lanes were too narrow for our cars. Francesca’s parents kindly drove our luggage to the house. Inside, everything was spotless, the rooms were spacious, and the beds were really comfortable. The beautiful house felt just like a Tuscan home and had all the essentials, including kitchen gear, a dishwasher, and a washing machine. We especially loved making amazing pizzas in the pizza oven. The pool was clean, a good size, and entirely ours for all six days. Communication with the host was excellent. We had a wonderful holiday and would book here again if we return to Tuscany.
