Poggio Baronti B&B

Tommaso clearly enjoys having guests and shared lots of useful tips for getting around. His villa is a great base for Florence and the nearby area, with spacious, sparkling clean rooms and views worthy of the Medici. Breakfast was homemade, and the eggs were incredibly fresh, straight from their own coop. We stayed in five different places over two weeks, and this was easily the best one.

Tommaso is a great host, and his B&B is a lovely spot on the edge of Florence. For a driving holiday, it works perfectly, with easy free parking.

We loved our two nights at this B&B. The stay was romantic, and the views were breathtaking. One evening we went to the jacuzzi on our own and watched shooting stars. The room was just as pictured, very clean, nicely renovated, and had a good shower and air conditioning. It was cleaned daily. There was also a mini fridge with complimentary water and soft drinks. Breakfast was homemade and freshly prepared based on what we requested when the host asked us each morning in the dining area. The host was caring, helpful, and clear in his communication. We were unsure about check-in times, but when we called, he was available even as our needs changed, so there was nothing to worry about. It’s only a 15-minute drive to Firenze, and we appreciated the host’s suggestions for parking and restaurants. The one improvement we’d suggest is an extra pillow, since one wasn’t quite enough for a comfortable night.

The owner was incredibly welcoming and went out of his way to help. Our room was clean, modern, and beautiful, and the short drive to downtown Florence made it easy to enjoy the city while having a peaceful escape from its bustle.
