Katia made a real difference during our three days here. She was there for breakfast each morning and helped out around the villa, giving us the comfort and privacy of a nice Airbnb with the service of a great hotel. Our group of 12 had all five rooms to ourselves, along with spacious shared areas and amenities. The villa was roomy and very well equipped, and breakfast was served in the common area every day from 8 to 10 AM. We also enjoyed the villa, the surrounding area, and the wine. The winery tour and lunch were delightful, and the wine we tasted was outstanding. We’d highly recommend the experience.

Villa Lilliano makes a wonderful base for seeing Tuscany. Florence is about 20 minutes away, while Greve in Chianti, Montefioralle, and Badia a Passignano take 25-30 minutes by car. Volpaia, San Gimignano, and Monteriggioni are under an hour away, so you can explore the region and still return to the villa easily. We felt welcomed like family from the moment we arrived, and that warmth continued throughout our stay. Getting there from Grassina or Antella is easy, and both towns have good places to eat. Parking is convenient, among centuries-old olive trees. The reception is a short walk away, where we were greeted with a smile and help in Italian, English, or fluent Spanish. Check-in felt like arriving at friends’ home, and they showed us to our villa. The grounds are full of nature, with carefully chosen details that combine Tuscan tradition and modern comfort. Inside, the living room, bedrooms, bathrooms, and dining area all felt warm and inviting, with an elegant Medici atmosphere. Everything was immaculate and fitted together beautifully. The beds were amazing, and I slept better than I had in a long time. Our east-facing terrace had an olive tree right in the middle. Beyond the pool, the valley made a postcard-like view, and we could even see Florence’s Duomo among the vineyards and olive groves. The weather was perfect while we were there, and we were told the whole villa can be cooled or heated if needed, useful to know for a summer visit. We took a tour of the historic villa and heard about its past, including who lived there and how it was used. The building is magnificent: the courtyard, entrance frescoes, staircase designed for horses, and original kitchen fireplace were all remarkable. The gardens and scenery beyond them felt like a fairy tale. We also met a member of the original family, who still lives there. At the end, we learned how to appreciate the villa’s different olive oils at a tasting. Wine tastings are available too, but we were travelling with our children and saved that for another time. Whenever we needed advice, whether about restaurants, getting to Florence, nearby activities, or where to park without risking a fine, they answered with kindness and real attention to detail. Camilla, Carlotta, Mateo, and Monica helped make everything easier and more enjoyable. We’d happily use Villa Lilliano as a base for Tuscany and for trips into Florence, while still getting to enjoy “una bella vita in campagna.”

We planned the ceremony on the terrace, cocktails in the garden, cake in front of the villa, and dinner and reception inside the Limonia. The property gave us so many lovely ways to make the celebration our own, and the views were breathtaking. For our October 2025 wedding with 73 guests, Villa Corte and Villa Torre gave everyone plenty of room. Both were spotless and thoughtfully arranged, with a social feel that made it easy to gather and relax. Florence city center was just 20 minutes away, convenient for guests staying there. The after-wedding winery event was another highlight, with a wine tasting, cellar tour, lunch, wonderful lasagna, and olive-oil tastings. Each morning, breakfast was generous, with fresh fruit, eggs, pastries, cheeses, and more. The staff were kind, accommodating, and always ready to help. They stayed available on WhatsApp for questions and rides to and from the villas. On our last night, they even ordered takeout so we could have a relaxed evening together after the wedding. That thoughtful gesture, and their attention throughout our three-night stay, meant a lot. Chiara, Lorenzo, Cami, and the whole Villa team made the weekend more than we could have imagined. It felt magical, and their hospitality made us feel like family. We’re already looking forward to seeing our photos and hope to come back for an anniversary someday.

The villa’s history and beauty made it a special way to experience Tuscan life, and our spacious room had a gorgeous view of the landscape. Reception staff were friendly and gave us useful ideas for places to see and things to do, so planning each day was easy even without an itinerary. They also helped arrange dinner reservations for us on most days. Katia prepared breakfast and always greeted us with a smile and a tasty cappuccino. The whole stay felt peaceful and effortless. I can’t wait to return to this lovely slice of Tuscany. Highly recommend!

My wife and I came for a friend’s wedding, and the villa and views were stunning. Katia looked after us each morning, Lorenzo at the front desk helped with everything we needed, and Paola made sure the wedding ran smoothly. The service was stellar. I can’t recommend the place enough.
